How to Transfer Data from a PC to an Online Inkjet Printer Using FTP

When you need to print a large volume of data and find it inconvenient to enter it directly on the printer’s screen, you can first create the data on a computer and then transfer it to the printer for coding using the FTP function.

I.  What is the FTP?

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a standard network protocol used for transferring files over a network.

In online inkjet printer applications, it allows data on a PC to be quickly sent to the printer for batch management and centralized control.

Key Functions

File Transfer:  Upload files from a PC to the printer or download files from the printer.

File Management: Perform remote file operations (rename, delete, move) and directory operations (browse, create, delete).

Support for Multiple File Types:  Text, images, audio, programs, etc.

Access Control:  User authentication via username/password, with configurable file permissions.

Anonymous Access:  Allow public anonymous access for shared files.

II. Next, we will explain how to use the FTP function on the online inkjet printer.

1.  Open the Control Panel on your computer, click Programs, then select “Turn Windows features on or off” under Programs and Features.
