How to transmit data via TCP(Transmission control protocol)/IP from external devices to G10+ TIJ printer
TCP/IP is a common way of coding printers to transmit data from external devices. It’ stable, flexible,fast and easy to integrate production line. Some printers have their own transmission software or platforms, while G10+ on line printer offer you a simple too.You can also develop your own communications program base on the G10+ protocol.
Before using TCP/IP transmit data have to connect G10+ printer and external devices into a same LAN.
There are two ways to connect them into the same LAN.
- Connecting via a same router.
When G10+ printer and external device connect to a same router, they will auto in a same LAN. When the first three parts of IP address are same as external device and the ‘port’ showing ‘Auto configuration’ means they are already in a same LAN. Pls note the IP is not fixed, sometimes automatically change because it’s given by router.
LAN interface on G10+ controller:
2. Set IP address manually.
Paths: Setting< Communication setting < network port setting< port< manually setting
After setting, check whether IP address shows in the ‘About us’.
How to confirm printer and external devices have connected to the same LAN?

After connecting to a same LAN, you can transmit data based on G10+ protocol. Please contact us for the protocol or download from G10+ download resources.
About character set:
1)Ascii: Only supports English font transmission, containing 128 characters;
2)Unicode:Supports multi-language transmission and covers more characters than UTF-8;
3)Utf-8: Supports multi-language transmission;
Transfer speed, Ascii is the fastest, then is UTF-8
