Influence on Printing Speed when Choosing Different Grey Levels

In the printing parameters on G10 printer system, you may find “Grey Level”.

When you choose different grey levels, the printed content will be darker or lighter. Scope of Grey Level is from -2 to 6. Each of them represents:

-2: 300*100dpi, density is 1

-1: 300*150dpi, density is 1

1: 300*300dpi, density is 1

2: 300*300dpi, density is 2

3: 300*300dpi, density is 3

4: 300*300dpi, density is 4

5: 300*300dpi, density is 5

6: 300*300dpi, density is 6

Level 1 means printing once at 300*300dpi; level 2 means printing twice at 300*300dpi; level 3 means printing three times at 300*300dpi, and so on.

That means, different grey levels will affect the printing speed.

As for G101+, when grey level is 1 and it prints fixed data, the maximum prints qty can be 80/s, and it can apply to 120m/min production line; if under double row high-speed mode, it can reach the speed of 200m/min production line.

According to this data, we can estimate the printing speed of G101+ under other grey levels when printing fixed data.

All the above is theoretical data. And it’ s only when the printer is working with our company’ s encoder 2000Pr. If you use a different encoder, the data should be different.
